Trip to the ER / Movie Rec

I was home sick today after horrible pelvic/lower abdomen pain and a slightly embarrassing visit to the ER (cute, young doctor and pelvic/abdomen issues aren’t the best combo) last night. Of course, the pain subsided a bit once I got to the ER so I felt a little silly. Today, my stomach is sore, but not writhing with the pain like yesterday. However, I decided to take it easy to see if the rest would help.

The good news about staying home is it’s an opportunity to watch a couple Netflix movies that typically sit around for weeks. On the docket today … two foreign films that were perfect for a laidback afternoon.

While I enjoyed The Chorus (about a boarding school for delinquent boys), it might be a little too slow for most. However, I’d recommend Dear Frankie. Reason No. 1 to watch it: it’s a sweet tale of a mother trying to protect her son. Reason No. 2: Gerard Butler, the hot stuff from 300 and P.S. I Love You. Yum.

As for the pain … it’s still there. Dr. Cutie did give me a script for an ultrasound, and I promised my mom I’d go if it wasn’t better tomorrow. If it turns out to be anything, I’ll keep everyone posted.
