A Bumpit Poll

Ok … I’m not really as obsessed with the Bumpit as it would seem. BUT … when I was posted the pic of myself in the last post, I got to thinking …

Bumpit? …

Or no Bumpit? …

The ‘dos are a little different … curly vs. sort of not curly, freshly highlighted vs. kinda due for a visit with Ms. Amy … and I definitely spent a little more time primping for the reunion than I did for work yesterday morning (truth be told … I did my makeup in the office … a little trick I learned from one of my favorite client contacts :) ).

Regardless, what do you think? (And please … if you don’t mind … vote by leaving a reply below, rather than on Facebook … I love your comments there, but for this, I’d like to have them permanently captured here on the blog … thanks!)

I don’t know, Amber … I like them both! Maybe the reason I can’t decide is that the Bumpit is perfect and sassy for an Event, and the no-Bumpit is perfect and pretty for a casual affair.

We each have our God given attributes, my hair being crazy gray, course, frizzy & thick – and can look terrific when it’s been freshly colored & styled with a round brush to go with it’s course texture. I’ve tried to defeat my hair over the years to no avail…I’ve learned to just roll with it!
Your hair looked FABULOUS for your reunion, and I do like that style better than the Bumpit…but that’s not the real question is it?
The Bumpit is great for a classic style and it’s a smoother look that you wear very well. Your hair is at it’s best when it’s shoulder length because it’s thin & when it’s longer you can “see through” the back. That being said…I’d say of course Bumpit…but just like every other hair style, don’t wear it everyday. Life’s not meant to be boring! :o )

Not that one looked better on YOU than the other… but, as for the idea as a whole….I prefer the no-bumpit do.

Maybe it’s because I’m a graphic designer…and I think that maybe the bump-it is to a professional hairdresser…as MicroSoft Publisher is to a professional graphic designer. We should leave some things up to the professionals.

Keep in mind, too, that this is coming from a person that basically has two hairstyles. Down…or in a ponytail.

I think the best hairdo is one in which you feel your best.

    Amber,
You aren’t going to like it, but I agree 100% with Gretchen. (the part you won’t like, is that we don’t really have an answer!!) I say it depends on what you are doing, wearing and your mood!!! You look beautiful always!

Amber, maybe it’s because of what you’re wearing and you’re attitude, but I feel like the Bumpit look is more professional and the non-Bumpit is a casual, weekend look. I like the fact that you really can’t tell it’s there. You do a good job with it.
